1 day Outlander 'Grant took 2 of us on an Outlander tour in April, and it was a wonderful day, and we were so fortunate to have such a great tour guide. Such a kind, and knowledgeable young man. Took such great care of us, if you're lucky enough to get him as your guide for the day, you will not regret it. Best day we could ever have asked for. Thank you Grant for a day we will never forget. 8 days Scotland 'I am a female, solo traveler, so finding a tour guide who makes me feel safe, while being fun & adventurous, is very important . From the start, Grant was aces! Within a week, we emailed, spoke and booked an 8-day tour. I sent Grant a list of activities I wanted to do and, after learning what was available and where they were located, a preliminary map was drawn up, events were booked and I had a handful of hotels to sort through. Here is a small sample of my Scottish Extravaganza - we hiked up snow-covered Stac Pollaidh, got tossed around in the snowy wind at Man of Store, got drenched while ziplining in the Highland rain, dined on fish & chips with the birds along Portree's harbor, found hidden roads with fantastic views along the coast, ate at least a dozen Tunnack's caramel biscuits while driving along 1000 miles of blacktop, hunted for maps & books at Leakey's, shared delicious meals while recapping our day and planning for the next, took ridiculous photos atop mountains, bridges & cliffs, and met fantastic Scottish characters along the way. Grant is an exceptional driver, a fine human being and a walking encyclopedia of Scottish history, folklore and interesting tidbits. If you're looking for a bespoke tour of Scotland, Grant McGregor is your guide!!!' Kelly, Tripadvisor, March 23
3 days to Skye 'An amazing tour of Skye! Jun 2023 • Family I cannot recommend this tour guide enough. Should you take one of these tours? I think you should if:
Grant was amazing. He planned out the whole trip sent us several iterations of the itinerary and we made adjustments via email. He picked us up from our hotel and took care of pretty much every aspect of the trip. He told us the best places to stay and reminded us to get bookings for dinner. He either got us a ticket to an attraction or told us how to easily do it. He timed everything out so that we arrived at each place when we were supposed to. He had tons of historical facts about the landmarks we were seeing, and answered all our questions. At one point the restaurant I booked at had canceled my reservation for an unknown reason. He took it upon himself to call and sort it all out. The last day we threw him a curveball and wanted to see something else and he very easily changed the itinerary and accommodated the changes easily. He built in stops for us to get great photos, taste scotch and learn how to use a backsword. He took a ton of photos for us. He was asked all the time for photos from random people because some of the time he is in a Kilt and he happily obliged.
He was a great conversationalist and we were never bored for the three day tour. He knew exactly when to get to site to avoid crowds and we got amazing photos without a ton of people in them. He was also an amazing driver, who navigated all the tiny roads with ease. I would 100% book again for something else if I came back to Scotland.' 'Cecil, Tripadvisor, June 23'
